Mr PG aged 78 years came to the emergency department in poor general condition. He was drowsy, disoriented and had a left-sided weakness. Relatives were in a panic state. On examination and investigation, he was diagnosed with right-sided acute intracranial hematoma (Acute SDH). He required emergency surgery to save his life. Relatives were very poor and can not afford it. The patient was admitted under Swasthya Sathi Scheme. Emergency life saving Operative procedure – Evacuation of subdural hematoma performed.
Postoperatively patients improved significantly with other supportive measures like Physiotherapy, Critical care management.
At the time of discharge, the patient is fully conscious, oriented, recognize the relatives and can speak well.
